Description ECOCAMP

The quietly located camping park with a family atmosphere is nestled in the Märkische forests and Lake Ferchesar, in the heart of the Westhavelland Nature Park. Nature still has a lot to offer here: water, beautiful forests and wonderful wildlife. Here you can see sea eagles, beavers, kingfishers, as well as the endangered Great Bustard (a turkey-sized flying bird). Sports and play facilities are offered for young and old, outdoor sports equipment, badminton and soccer field, an adventure playground with sand washing, petting zoo, trampoline, boccia for seniors, Thai massages, yoga, and much more. In the Great Spotted Woodpecker you forget the stress of everyday life and take time to relax and unwind. There is a self-service shop in the camping park. Market, a snack bar by the lake, the popular Ristaurante-Pizzeria Don Carlo with a sun terrace, bicycles, e-bikes and Kettcar rental, and much more. The starry sky above the camping park is close enough to touch due to the low light pollution and is a real highlight when the sky is clear, as is the case on the Perseid nights, when countless shooting stars shine. (In 2014, the Westhavelland Nature Park was declared Germany's 1st star park.) There are many sights in the area, most of which can be reached on well-developed cycle paths: The first airfield in the world, by Otto Lilienthal - Ribbeck Castle with the church and the old schoolhouse ( Theodor Fontane: The Lord von Ribbeck, with the pear). From Rathenow train station you can reach Berlin main station in just over 40 minutes, for a Berlin tour with a boat trip on the Spree, etc.
