ClimaCamps is our new award for climate-conscious, climate-active or climate-positive campsites.
In the ClimaCamps project "Climate-friendly camping in Lower Saxony", we developed a three-stage award for climate protection at the campsite with the BVCD (Federal Association of the Camping Industry in Germany) - Lower Saxony in 2023. Committed campsites in Germany and Europe can also strive for this award. You can find out how these campsites are making themselves fit for climate protection here. The award has three levels and enables campsites to continuously improve their climate protection management. The requirements of the criteria increase from climate-conscious (level 1 climate-conscious to climate-plus level 3). The award-winning campsites undertake to comply with the criteria of the ClimaCamps award and the mission statement.
