The focus: sustainable energy production
With around 300 days of sunshine a year, the location on the Costa Blanca near Benidorm offers optimal conditions for sustainable energy production. Installed solar technology uses the sun to generate electricity and heat. A solar thermal system in the sanitary building works together with the wood pellet heating system to heat the rooms as well as the shower and pool water.
Benisol relies on the economical use of our resources
The newly installed showers reduce guests' water consumption by up to 70 percent. The new electricity meters make electricity billing transparent for guests. Guests can view the electricity consumption and switch it on and off at any time using a mobile phone app. Using this technology, the campsite itself has the option of regulating performance limits. For e-mobile guests, there is an e-charging station on the campsite that is powered by the campsite's own solar power.
Concrete measures for sustainable water management are planned: The resulting wastewater is to be cleaned in our own, fully biological sewage treatment plant and used for green irrigation on the site and for flushing toilets. Rainwater should also be treated in the same way. To minimize the release of harsh chemicals into the environment, the campground is switching from chlorine to saltwater swimming pools. Bathing fun is even increased thanks to better skin and eye compatibility.
