ECO CAMPING

We present four ecocamps that are sure to still accommodate guests .

Camping Liefrange

Have you ever been to Luxembourg? In the north of this small country lie the Ardennes with two nature parks, breathtaking castles and palaces as well as the Upper Sûre reservoir, the largest lake in Luxembourg. Just one kilometer from the shore is the small eco-campsite Liefrange in the middle of the Upper Sûre nature park. Cozy and unusual accommodations, beautifully laid out pitches, RV pitches with panoramic views and plenty of peace and quiet characterize this campsite. Hiking trails and mountain bike routes as well as numerous water sports opportunities are right on the doorstep.

Spare capacities:

  • Mobile homes can still be rented here from mid-July to the end of August.
  • Tipi tents are available in July and August and
  • the safari tents in the last two weeks of July.
  • You can still request the Captain's House between mid-July and the end of August and
  • the XL Pods in the last two weeks of July.

You can read about how much this campsite does for the environment here . The best thing to do is to see for yourself on site on your next holiday! You can find further contact options on ECOCAMPS .

Oewersauer Nature Park

Eichenwald campsite in the Westerwald

Do you like to spend time under trees and in the shade in the summer heat? Then the campsite in the oak forest could be the right destination for you, because the name says it all. This campsite scores with a park-like atmosphere. This summer, the operator team will find you a nice spot under 150-year-old oaks and beeches at short notice - regardless of whether you arrive with a camper, caravan or motorhome or if you are pitching a tent. Hikers and cyclists can cook in a rainproof communal room. The campsite is barrier-free.

Accommodation can also still be rented there this summer.

  • The Chalet Eichhörnchen is available from 1 to 11 July and from 22 to 25 July.
  • Chalet Hase can be booked from 1 to 5 July and from 26 August to 2 September.

There is no chance of getting bored in the Sieg nature region, where the campsite is located, as there are a wide range of leisure activities on offer: e-bike rental, paragliding beginners' courses, guided canoe tours, fly fishing on the Sieg, trips to the Westerwaldring in Eichelhardt, motorcycle and technology museum, visitor mine, thermal baths, forest swimming pool or climbing forest. And of course this campsite attaches great importance to sustainability, as you can read on ECOCAMPS or at https://www.camping-im-eichenwald.de .

Campingpark Zuruf

The Mecklenburg Lake District offers a lot for nature lovers: lakes, clean water, beaches, lots of peace and quiet, lots of countryside with forests, hills and fields. The 4-star Campingpark Zuruf is located on the shores of Lake Plauer. In July and August you will also find:

  • free pitches and free Finnish cabins.

Camping Call

The three modern sanitary buildings are barrier-free and handicapped accessible. There is a lot on offer for you as a guest: The campsite has its own beach including a jetty with boats that can be rented and driven without a boat license. If you want to cast a fishing rod, you can do so with a tourist fishing license. Bicycles and go-carts can also be rented. For the sporty types, there are table tennis tables, a volleyball and badminton court and outdoor chess. In summer, children are looked after specially with handicraft activities, a children's disco, excursions or waffle baking. Just three kilometers away is the charming town of Plau am See with its old town characterized by half-timbered and brick houses.

And the best part: The journey from the metropolises of Berlin and Hamburg only takes around two hours.

Island Camp Fehmarn

If you dream of a holiday by the sea and the beach, you will still find what you are looking for at the Inselcamp Fehmarn on the Baltic Sea in July and August.

The five-star comfort site is located directly on the fine sandy, expansive beach facing south and has every conceivable facility to make your vacation an experience. Working on the side is even possible here: "Our new coworking station with the high-speed Internet Starlink is very well received," says owner Katherin Kleingarn. This is in keeping with the trend of combining work time with vacation time. That's why up to five workstations are now available in the beach box to take part in an online meeting, make a phone call in peace or just do something on the computer.

"Our guests also really appreciate the nice restaurant with regional cuisine," says Kleingarn. In addition, your campsite with a dog beach, dog shower and agility course caters to four-legged guests. There is no need to fear bad weather at the island camp, because especially then there is a sauna area, wellness and fitness area, massage, cosmetics and foot care, entertainment and sports for children, young people and adults. The "FehMare", the bathing world on the south beach, is also very easy to reach via the shore path from the campsite. A beach walk to the Staberhuk cliffs, which drop bizarrely and rockily into the sea, is an impressive experience, as is a trip to the "island capital" Burg with its historical flair and a still active fishing port.

In general, the island camp thinks of as many people as possible: parents and their children with a baby changing room, a large playground and a lawn, frostbitten people with underfloor heating in the two first-class sanitary buildings, barrier-free facilities for people with disabilities or water sports enthusiasts with a boat slipway and SUPs, and as an eco-campsite, nature in particular.

The island can be reached at any time via the Fehmarnsund Bridge.

Inselcamp Fehmarn still has places available in July and August.
