Campsites in Lower Saxony send a strong signal for climate protection. From April 26th to 27th, 2023, committed camping entrepreneurs met in Lower Saxony to work together to promote climate protection on their sites. As part of the “ Climate-friendly camping in Lower Saxony ” project, two workshops took place, which were supported by the camping industry association BVCD-Lower Saxony and ECOCAMPING . The aim of the project is to improve climate protection on campsites in Lower Saxony and to become “climate neutral” as quickly as possible.
Theory, practice and exchange: Climate protection on campsites in Lower Saxony
Led by ECOCAMPING consultants Martin Rolletschek and Wolfgang Pfrommer, the workshops dealt with key topics of climate protection on campsites. This included the introduction of CO2 monitoring, green energy supply, sustainable design options on the campsite, corporate resilience and climate protection in new construction and renovation of buildings. The focus was on practical tips and the exchange of experiences. The particular focus was on the future use of solar power in combination with heat pumps. In addition to the open workshop structure, which left room for exchange, a tour offered participants the opportunity to discuss the topics in practice.
