New additions to the ECOCAMPING network 2021

New additions to the ECOCAMPING network 2021 - ECOCAMPS

ECOCAMPING stands for holidays in harmony with nature. In Germany, Italy, Croatia and Slovenia, additional campsites are now carrying forward the ECOCAMPING award and the idea of a sustainable camping industry. The award-winning campsites want to work together with ECOCAMPING to make their contribution to securing the livelihoods of current and future generations.

ECOCAMPING gets reinforcements from Italy. Camping Fornella , a place that is idyllically located on Lake Garda. With its own olive groves, the homemade production of olive oil, and the site's own grape vines (snacking encouraged) - the campsite attracts nature and pleasure lovers. Camping Residence Punta Spin also joins the ECOCAMPING-awarded campsites in Italy. With the newly acquired Camping Residence Punta Spin, the Andretta family is now joining the ECOCAMPING network with their third company and is also gearing it towards sustainability.

With four new network campsites in the popular holiday destination Croatia, the number there increases to 16. These four new, but very different, campsites have one goal: to preserve the nature that surrounds them. They rely on the use of sustainable energies, prefer local resources and offer space for biodiversity.

Not far from Zadar is Camping & Hostel Odmoree, a small and peaceful campsite very close to the sea. What is remarkable is the fully biological water treatment system, which treats the wastewater and makes it usable again for the site's own plants - a completely sustainable concept.

A little further south is Pakoštane, a quiet Dalmatian town with a unique location between the Adriatic Sea and Croatia's largest lake. This is where the Pine Beach campsite is located, which scores with its guests not only for its beautiful panorama but also for its car-free and traditional concept. This also includes the all-inclusive offer: sleep in the unique natural reed huts and enjoy culinary delights in the largest restaurant in the country.

Another new addition is the Bi Village holiday center in Istria. Here everything depends on the sun: all sanitary buildings are equipped with solar thermal energy. Bi Village campsite is the first campsite in the network to use an innovative solar combination system - electricity and heat are generated with a single system

Further inland we come across the Big Bear Plitvice Nature Resort. The sun also plays an important role here. The owner, once a pioneer in the Croatian solar industry, is now switching to the camping industry with a pearl right on the border of a nature reserve. Local is the key word here: locally available solar energy is not only used when it comes to energy use - the place also focuses on regionality with its food offerings.

In the very south of Slovenia is the Kolpa Vinica campsite , which, as part of the Kolpa Regional Park, contributes to the preservation of the unique flora and fauna found there through its active environmental commitment. All environmental lovers will be touched by the beauty and intact nature.

In Germany, the ECOCAMPING network will in future be supported by the Mainschleife Escherndorf campsite . It lies in the middle of the Franconian wine country, where the Main forms the Volkacher Mainschleife with one of its idiosyncratic arches - what a whim of nature. And nature also prevails on the square - the green roof of the new sanitary building offers a new habitat of its own.

What these campsites have in common is that they are committed to sustainability in camping tourism with ECOCAMPING. They do this in a very individual way and with their own charm - take a look and see for yourself the quality and commitment of the campsites. You can find all campsites in the ECOCAMPING network on ecocamps.de

Camping is a holiday in nature, ECOCAMPING is a holiday with nature!
