Electric vehicles are greatly underestimated in many respects - especially when it comes to covering longer distances. For example, newer vehicles can travel up to 600 kilometers on a single charge - and this means you can cross the whole of Bavaria. There are already the first electrically powered camping vans and motorhomes on the market. For all campers who want to use their everyday electric vehicle for their vacation, it is still necessary to prepare the travel route along e-charging stations well. Because the electric vehicle sometimes needs the whole night to refuel at household sockets. Half an hour is enough at fast charging stations - and the journey can continue. A travel route along charging stations opens up completely new possibilities: While the vehicle is recharging its energy, all those traveling with you are also recharging their batteries with new impressions in unknown areas, sun or power. On a longer route, charging stations from different providers are served, so it is important to find out in advance whether your own payment card or app fits the charging station. Adapters for the “camping” sockets (CEE power connections) and common charging ports on board are useful so that you can charge anywhere on the go.
Camping is a holiday with nature .
Camping is by nature an ecological form of vacation. On average, you use around five times more energy per night in a hotel than when camping. The campsites of the ECOCAMPING network represent a special commitment to environmental protection and quality. They can be easily found on ecocamps.de. Numerous campsites also offer accommodation for rent: these range from the curious circus wagon to the luxurious 'glamping villa'. So you don't need a tent or your own camping vehicle for 'e-mobile' camping - all the amenities you need for a relaxing holiday in nature are already there if you wish. For all guests who would like to try out e-mobility for the first time on vacation, many campsites also have rental vehicles that can be used to explore the surrounding area electrically. The offer ranges from comfortable to sporty – driving fun included! By choosing an ECOCAMPING certified campsite and a climate-neutral means of transport, climate protection and vacation can be brought into harmony. Bavarian campsites are currently working intensively on strengthening electromobility for sustainable tourism as part of a model project. They are supported by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
