A clear trend can be seen: mobility is becoming electric. Campsites play an important role in electromobility - they can even become pioneers.
For almost 70 percent of Germans, sustainability aspects are important on vacation. Due to this environmental awareness among travelers, an increase in e-mobile guests on the campsite is to be expected. If campsites offer electric charging stations, these can be accessed specifically by those passing through. Even non-e-mobile travelers enjoy the freedom of arriving at the campsite without their own car or bicycle and of renting appropriate vehicles on site - electric vehicles are available as rental options here. Camping guests gain great independence through a range of rentable electric vehicles. The usual bike rental at the campsite can be expanded to include electric bikes. E-bikes are fun - and your car often stops. Rental offers of e-cars, classic e-bikes or e-cargo bikes make the campsite more attractive and climate-friendly.
More and more people are choosing electric vehicles. An investment in charging points is therefore unavoidable in the near future. The effort should not be in vain: state support is being expanded nationwide. At the same time, companies create their own market advantages.
Holidaymakers want to relax in peace - without annoying noise and exhaust fumes next to the caravan or on the beach. One solution is to rethink traffic on the campsite: there are already a number of alternatives that can keep up with common emergency vehicles on the campsite. The electrically powered cargo bike, for example, replaces trips on the campsite grounds with low noise, odor and emissions. In the long term, they not only protect our climate, but also our wallets.
Anyone who invests in sustainable tourism is investing in the future. The project: “Future offensive for electromobility for campsites in Bavaria” deals with exactly this topic. The goal is to promote electromobility on campsites in Bavaria as a contribution to sustainable tourism.
