It's perfect that the Fahrrad Essen trade fair will also be opening from February 29th, parallel to Reise + Camping. At the largest bicycle trade fair in North Rhine-Westphalia you will discover the latest e-bikes, bicycles, cargo bikes, bicycle clothing, trends, test courses and tour ideas. In total, around a thousand exhibitors are looking forward to welcoming visitors to Fahrrad Essen and Reise + Camping. With this variety and the well-structured trade fair structure, everyone will find their desired equipment or dream travel destination.
Campsites and bike tours for every taste – ideas for your next vacation
If you want to travel in a nature-friendly and exciting way, alone or as a couple, discover the i:woody. The sustainable bicycle caravan is a trade fair partner of Ecocamping at stand 52 in Hall GA: “Holidaymakers can try out the i:woody, get to know the comfort and design or listen to the sounds of the sound system. I’d be happy to show you the i:woody,” says Erich Zeller. The camping and cycling enthusiast inventor adds: “You can buy the bike caravan or build it yourself, or you can rent the i:woody from us and cycle off. For example in the romantic Neckar Valley, in the Odenwald or on the mountain bike path.”

Traveling by train – relaxed, without traffic jams and sustainable
If it's not cycling weather at the time of the trade fair: subway line 11 will take you from Essen main station to the trade fair in just five minutes. Around 90,000 visitors are expected at Reise + Camping – from the Ruhr area, but also from all over North Rhine-Westphalia. For many, traveling by train is worth it: with the Deutschlandticket or a cheap NRW fare, you can get from Cologne or Münster to Essen by regional train in just over an hour, for example.
