Living worlds made from 100% reusable materials

Destinature is a made-up word meaning " Destination Nature ." In Ernzen, there are 20 summery glamping cabins, whose sleeping berths are made of local wood and housed in a lightweight frame with a tent roof. They accommodate two adults and one toddler. These accommodations are modular and can be completely dismantled and reassembled elsewhere if necessary.

In addition, six log cabins from a former youth camp were renovated in the WERKHAUS style and equipped with WERKHAUS furniture – perfect for families of up to four people plus a child.

Hotel-level service

Whether making the beds, fresh towels or an organic breakfast served in the bistro - the d estinature In terms of service, Dorf Südeifel is more reminiscent of a small hotel than a traditional campsite. A bistro , a communal kitchen , and a wellness area round out the guest experience. Five pitches for camper vans up to six meters in length offer additional space. Larger cabins are planned for the future.

Sustainability from root to plate

WERKHAUS has been producing in a resource-efficient manner since 1992. The wood for its summer cabins and log cabins comes from Germany, and its paints are certified sustainable. The bistro uses only certified organic food . Cleaning products are consistently eco-friendly , and the consistent waste separation impresses even experienced auditor Martin Rolletschek.

Zero interference with nature

During the construction of the new holiday village, no soil was sealed or trees pruned: no concrete surfaces , no fences, no cleared land. Destinature is committed to preserving native flora and fauna. Future plans include insect-friendly flower meadows and communal fruit planting to actively promote biodiversity.

Four-legged friends are also welcome guests in all destinature villages .

Energy and consumption in view

The village in the Southern Eifel region already sources 100% green electricity , currently through external providers. A new building for the bistro and communal kitchen will incorporate a photovoltaic system so that electricity needs can be completely self-generated. WERKHAUS continuously analyzes consumption data to realize further savings and efficiency improvements in the future.
