On the road with the i:woody bicycle camper for the European Ecolabel, 1st stop - ECOCAMPS
With bicycle camper and cargo bike to Mainau.

Euroflower meets Blumi: The European Ecolabel was already on its way to the Litzelstetten-Mainau nature campsite, the first stop on the roadshow, with a cargo bike, bicycle camper, and pug. Mainau Island was on the way. And there, the unusual combination attracted attention.
It was about a good cause, more specifically the EU Ecolabel – recognizable by the Euroflower logo – which stands for sustainability. Blumi is the mascot of the island of Mainau and can also be found there as a flower figure.
Photographs were taken on the island of Mainau, as well as at the other flower sculptures. The avenue of dawn redwoods also provided a great subject.
Incidentally, this was a kind of family visit, because the island of Mainau is EMAS certified, a voluntary environmental management system of the European Union to systematically improve its own environmental performance.

In the afternoon, the roadshow program began at the Litzelstetten-Mainau nature campsite. Frisbee golf was a popular activity. Frisbees made of bioplastic were used. If a disc gets lost, it will decompose over time. Some visitors tried out the cargo bike or were interested in the EU Ecolabel themselves, after all, they were staying at a campsite with the corresponding certification.

The campsite is operated by Marketing und Tourismus Konstanz GmbH, a subsidiary of the City of Konstanz. Philipp Weltin is responsible for the campsites there. He personally stopped by the roadshow and posed for a photo next to the bike camper with Marco Knöpfle, an ECOCAMPER from the very beginning.

For those interested in technology: The mini camper for the bike is an i:woody, and the cargo bike is the Carrie model from Riese + Müller.
